Description

  1. data flow architecture, sounds like octopus.
    1. kind of like a kernel of an OS.
    2. defines ways to input information (sources),
    3. ways to output info (sinks),
    4. allows filters at stages of input & output (changing data stream),
    5. these are the "processing" perhaps?
    6. pipes as the basic model of data flow,
    7. seems like a nice simple architecture for building a data processing and handling apparatus.
