write a script that wgets the
openssl
curl
zlib
assets needed from the interwebs
and puts them into a usable place in hoople area.

impractical. these are each built with obscure rules in different environments; launching openssl configure from cygwin for example could pull in bizarre bits of itself instead of setting up for nmake, which we actually need.
